OutSystems Fundamentals: Create Your First Web App
We are looking for an experienced and technically sound OutSystems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the end-to-end development and delivery of technical training courses. The role includes analyzing learning objectives, reviewing and validating scripts, creating static and
recorded demos, developing hands-on activities, and recording instructional videos. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in OutSystems, a strong eye for content accuracy, and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to a broad learning audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and create learning objectives for each course.
- Review and/or develop detailed course outlines.
- Review 7–9 video scripts per course to ensure technical accuracy; suggest updates and incorporate one round of internal and client feedback.
- Provide relevant static or recorded demos/screencasts for video integration. Ensure code accuracy and incorporate one round of feedback.
- For AI/software/tool-based modules, suggest freeware tools and test all sample codes for accuracy.
- Review 4–6 readings per course (up to 1200 words each) for technical soundness and clarity; revise as necessary with one feedback iteration.
- Create 1–2 hands-on activities (labs or other client-preferred formats) per course, incorporating feedback from both internal and client stakeholders.
- Review practice quizzes and graded assessments (5 sets per course, 5–10 questions each) for correctness and instructional value, and revise with feedback.
- Record talking-head videos (approximately 20–25 minutes per course), either onsite or remotely (e.g., via Zoom), incorporating one round of internal and client feedback.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Senior Level of Expertise in OutSystems development, including hands-on experience with complex, enterprise-level applications
- Professional or Expert-level OutSystems certification strongly preferred
- Expertise in OutSystems architecture, modular design, and lifecycle management
- Proven ability to guide and lead technical teams in a low-code environment
- Strong understanding of integration methods (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, databases)
- Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
- Camera-friendly with excellent communication and presentation skills – must be comfortable conducting live sessions or recording instructional videos
- Optional but beneficial: experience with JavaScript, SQL, C#, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
