National Conference on Student Assessment

Event Preview | NCSA 2026 — National Conference on Student Assessment

Every year, NCSA brings the K–12 assessment community together to tackle the questions that matter most. The 2026 edition in Austin arrives with a theme that feels more timely than ever.
“Connecting the Dots: Building Coherent Systems to Support Student Success” — that’s the lens the conference is bringing to three days in Austin, Texas, June 22–24. And it’s a theme that reflects something the K–12 assessment community has been wrestling with for a while now: data isn’t the problem. Coherence is.
Sessions are tackling everything from through-year assessment design and psychometric frameworks to how states translate high-quality assessment data into conversations that actually shift practice on the ground. The question isn’t whether schools have enough information about their students — it’s whether the right systems exist to connect that information to decisions that matter.
For us, that question cuts directly to where we work. Accessible content, meaningful data reporting, and learning systems that serve every type of learner — including students with disabilities and English learners — are not edge cases. They’re the standard. And NCSA is where the people setting that standard come together.

We’re going in with specific questions. We’ll bring the real answers back.

Stay tuned.
