Learning Technologies Integration
Integrating Intelligent Solutions with your Existing Business
We offer LTI support to help you manage eLearning across the organization.
LTI or Learning Tools Interoperability makes integration of third-party content or tools with existing platforms such as learning management systems seamless and less expensive.
How does LTI integration benefit you-
Hurix offers a plethora of services in the learning integration space, such as Single Sign On (SSO), auto-rostering, grade passback, interoperability and integration across systems. We enable integration with
Technologies Deployed for LTI Integration
We also offer IMS certification of edtech products.
Our Area of Focus
Hurix can get your product to be LTI compatible, or help upgrade it from an earlier version to LTI 1.3. Since LTI 1.3 will be the minimal standard for certification, as indicated by IMS, this is a service you may want to avail of at the earliest. An LTI-compliant product is easier to sell and integrate with, and is bound to capture a greater market share faster, simply because partnerships are so much easier with it!
At Hurix, we understand technology, especially Education Technology. While there is much confusion often when one speaks of integrations, rostering and single sign-on, we understand that they are different, even if sometimes the same system does many of these things.
This table captures how commonly known systems in the education domain can be integrated with a tool like Kitaboo.
System / Mechanism | What is it? | Does it do SSO? | Does it do Auto-Rostering? |
---|---|---|---|
Google Classroom | Lite LMS | Using Google Identity
(GC does not support LTI) |
Yes |
Schoology | LMS | Using LTI SSO | Using OneRoster or LTI (if the tool has been launched at least once) |
Canvas | LMS | Using LTI SSO | Using OneRoster or LTI (if the tool has been launched at least once) |
Class Link | A one-stop authentication + rostering + file management system for multiple apps | Yes | Yes |
Clever | A one-stop authentication + rostering + file management system for multiple apps | Yes | Not by default Can be done, with Clever Secure Sync (separate paid-integration) |
OneRoster 1.0
One Roster 1.1 |
Rostering Technology | N.A | Yes |
SAML | Authentication Technology | Yes | No |
OAuth 2 | Authentication Technology | Yes | No |
LTI Advantage | Interoperability Standard | Yes (LTI 1.3) | Yes |
It is beneficial to be integrated with systems like Clever, ClassLink etc. to improve adoption by schools and end-users. Whether your system is already LTI-compliant or not, we can help you get the integration done.
Be it Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, Moodle or any other major LMS, we are here to help you plug in and start interacting with the students in it, and posting content and grades.
Google Classroom is the new entrant, with a different point of view. Even if you are LTI-compliant, it is not a plug-and-play affair with Google Classroom; special integration is required and Hurix can help you with that.
Want to get a virtual classroom solution such as Zoom or WebEx integrated with your LMS? Reach out to us, and let us offer you options.
