We understand the importance of page composition with clean layouts in order to deliver a clear view to the reader. We have well-trained and experienced typesetters for all forms of conventional typesetting, be it less complex pagination levels or complex design projects. Keeping your book’s theme and genre in mind, we convert your manuscripts into print-ready formats.
Hurix follows unique working methods to meet the composition requirements of the clients and our methods vary across the clientele, based on their specific requirements. We will help you achieve the optimum page design and provide the best reading experience to your audience.

We ensure that all deliverables are created and passed through the editing and production cycle as one XML file. It is easy to incorporate corrections at any point in XML, and these corrections reflect in the PDF.
The content is published online before it is available in print, eliminating the need for re-creating content across different platforms, and it can be easily adapted to any publishing format.
Auto Styling with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tool
Our AI tool was developed for auto styling the word files and converting them into validated XML, which is fed as an input to our automated page composition software.
Our page composition process involves Adobe InDesign and conversions using InDesign (XML/Tagged Text/Word), 3B2 (ASCII & XML), and TeX/LaTeX (XML).
We design and format print content for publishers using various composition platforms such as 3B2, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Latex etc. We provide automated solutions for client requirements with quick turnaround times and good quality.
Our highly systematic QC processes are designed to ensure that customer specifications are met in all aspects. We also offer template creation/design services which include-
We also develop templates for each kind of books and journals, both XML workflow (Tag based) and non-XML workflow (Word style based).
Proof PDF Development
We use the DPS (Directory Publishing System) tool to paginate and create Proof PDF.
With this software, we ensure that the placement of tables, figures, base alignment, etc., are accurate.
The XML-validated files are extracted from the server and DPS automatically picks the template and images from the server, the flow of the content, generates the application files (3B2 file or InDesign file) and creates the PDF for proofing.
The tool also takes care of page number sequencing, recto, verso, and run-on article or separate-page article.
We enable authors and editors to proof check the PDF files using our customized author proofing tool – KITABOO Edit. This e-proofing platform helps reduce the correction rounds and turnaround time (TAT) in the author review stage.
Key highlights of KITABOO Edit-
