Hurix Digital Develops Interactive Digital Learning Objects for K12 Students to Improve the Learning Experience

Client Overview

The client is a global e-learning company that specializes in pre-K12 education content, services, and cutting-edge technology solutions. They create engaging, dynamic, and effective educational content and experiences from early childhood to K-12 and beyond the classroom. They serve more than 50 million students in more than 150 countries.

The Challenge

Meet a demanding deadline to develop a complex learning solution that provides educators the ability to assess and analyze the understanding of students. Basis the discussion, Hurix was tasked to create a varied number of interactive Digital Learning Objects (DLOs) for K-12.
The DLOs were to be based on subject areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth & Space Science. The goal was to boost learning with the ability to assess the understanding of students on the subjects mentioned.

Our Solution

The proposed solution was to develop the cDLOs using React as a technology platform.

1

One-way data flow

2

Virtual DOM

3

JSX

4

Architecture beyond HTML

5

React Native

The Result

From climate change to observing how matter changes from one state to another, students can now enhance their understanding by applying what they learnt into the virtual learning environment. The interactive learning module makes use of a click and play concept whereby students can experiment and learn by controlling temperatures and visually see the changes it leads to.
With Hurix as a project partner, the client could deliver virtual course materials to all students and teachers. Also, in retrospect, the proposed deadlines were met without spending additional time and money on hiring additional staff for the entire project. Students could now access their respective course materials more efficiently by simply logging in to their respective portals. In addition, the teachers could also get a quick glimpse into the progress of their students and provide detailed feedback on their performance.
