SME will design a Pennsylvania-aligned social studies curriculum that promotes civic engagement, critical thinking, historical analysis, and the societal impact of STEM developments.
Scope of work:
- Design lessons that examine the intersection of social change, historical context, and STEM.
- Develop culturally responsive and inclusive curriculum materials.
- Embed inquiry-based and project-based learning elements into coursework.
- Create assessments that evaluate analysis, synthesis, and application skills.
- Promote interdisciplinary connections (e.g., data visualization in historical research).
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s in History, Social Sciences, or Education.
- 5+ years in teaching or social studies content development.
- Expertise in equity-centered curriculum design.
- Strong grasp of PA Social Studies Standards and civics integration.
