SME will be offering guidance and content validation while supporting instructional designers in creating engaging, inclusive modules aligned with PA Core Standards and career readiness goals.
Scope of work:
- Review and validate content created by instructional designers for grades 6–12.
- Embed disciplinary literacy and digital literacy skills in ELA content.
- Support integration of STEM topics into argumentative, narrative, and research-based writing.
- Recommend culturally responsive texts and inclusive themes.
- Guide rubric creation for written assignments and literary analysis tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s in English, Literacy, or Secondary Education.
- 5+ years of experience teaching middle/high school ELA or in a curriculum development role.
- Familiarity with 21st-century and career readiness frameworks.
- Experience with culturally responsive curriculum and diverse literature
