SME will develop a PA STEELS-aligned science curriculum that emphasizes inquiry, virtual experimentation, data literacy, and environmental sustainability from K through 12.
Scope of work:
- Create interactive and accessible science lessons incorporating virtual labs, simulations, and data tasks.
- Support SOR by integrating literacy strategies in science reading and writing.
- Include environmental, technological, and ethical perspectives in science topics.
- Develop performance-based assessments with scoring guides.
- Design differentiated instruction strategies for diverse learners.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Science Education or STEM field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in K–12 teaching or science curriculum design.
- Familiarity with PA STEELS standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- Competence in building cross-curricular STEM literacy activities.
