Kitaboo eBook portal is a unique
one-stop, integrated suite consisting of an eBook reader, managed hosting
solution,commerce capabilities and production services.
It helps in eBook creation, management and cloning on demand and with relative
ease. In addition, it allows users to upload PDF or Word source files and
configure eBook and player features. |

Each eBook will be Flash (Flex) based with the ability to be delivered either offline or via the web. |

They will be wrapped using Adobe AIR Technology for better platform compatibility and ease of accessing the eBook titles. |

eBooks will be SCORM compliant and will record common parameters of SCORM, like total time spent, bookmark (last page viewed), apart from the other tracking parameters. |

To meet requirements of the Technology Federation
Rehabilitation Act, Section 508, the entire eBook player's buttons will be
accessible with keyboard as well. Since the page content will be in the form of
an SWF file, it is recommended to open PDF version of the eBook via the eBook
player. This will enable any screen reader software to read the page content as
well as the embedded image ALT-text. |

The player shell "wrapper" is customizable for branding
(color, logos and buttons) and general design to compliment the student text
book, teacher wraparound eBooks and company. |
