Technology has changed the way we teach and learn, and in doing so it has also thrown up many challenges and opportunities in the way the benefits of learning are assessed.

The traditional modes of designing, delivering, and evaluating assessments now have to be supplemented by more powerful and flexible technology-enabled assessment systems.
 

The conventional method of assessment involved the following steps:
  A subject matter expert designs and authors questions pertaining to a topic.
  The authored questions are passed on to a board of moderators.
  Questions are categorized intelligently based on sections, difficulty levels, and learning objectives.
  The students use an answer sheet to answer questions for a test.
  A board of markers selectively marks answers.
  The scores are calculated and results published for every student.
  The individual student portfolio is compiled and built manually.
  Questions and topics are archived for curriculum/syllabus changes manually.

Correlations
Called Educational content has to comply with standards prescribed by the relevant authorities at the state and national levels. Hurix can help you to map your content to the appropriate standards. We have used the experience gained from correlation projects for several clients to create a tool for correlation. Called COMPASS, our tool is highly effective in correlating content to state and national standards.
